About me

Smiling woman standing in front of a wooden fence with greenery

Flexible. Capable. Here to help.

I’m an independent consultant and coach helping people with grant writing and evaluation work.

I’ve been working on grants since 2012, when I started in grants management for the Australian Federal Government. I learnt about grants from the funder’s side first – which has always given me an advantage when I’m writing grants.

I’ve helped non-profits, entrepreneurs and for-purpose businesses in Australia and around the world to win over $30 million in funding since 2015. My projects have covered everything from disability to online safety to pet products to malaria prevention to parenting support services to virtual reality to medical devices to mental health support to out of home care and more!

I take a program-design focused approach to grant writing. That means I don’t only help with grant writing, but I help to design projects that match what funders are looking to fund. That means you’re more likely to win the grant, and to deliver better results for your community.

In 2021, I graduated with a Master of Evaluation from the University of Melbourne. I now also work as an evaluator, meaning I help organisations (usually non-profits, often governments, sometimes businesses) to systematically evaluate their projects. This process lets you fully understand your impact, and find ways to improve what you’re doing. It’s a type of applied social research, and it’s extremely useful.

My values:

Integrity

Flexibility

Curiosity

Boldness

As well as my Masters, I hold a Bachelor of Arts (Honours – First Class) and Bachelor of Science from the Australian National University, and a Graduate Diploma of Government (Project Management). I’m a member of the Australian Evaluation Society and its mentoring program working group.

I’m known for my ability to explain ideas, my confidence-building approaches, and my helpfulness. My services are always tailored to your needs – I don’t offer standard packages!
